About Me

I have always loved painting and over the years I have come to understand it as a celebration of life through light, color and shapes. Painting to me means capturing a magic moment in life that otherwise would be gone. It could be a marshland that is inundated with brackish waters, it could be the reeds by the sea at sunset, or it could be the tones of the sky in a city landscape.

I grew up in Spain in a family of artists were expressing yourself with a brush and a pencil was considered normal and though the years I have continued developing my skills as a watercolorist and oil painter. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, a Master's degree in Industrial Design and a Ph.D. in Fine Arts.

Having practiced industrial design for many years, I found my passion for drawing, rendering and painting at an early stage and I am happy to share my knowledge to newer generations of artists and designers. I have taught at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid, Spain, Pratt Institute, Parsons School of Design, The Art Institute of Colorado, The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division and at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).
